ngelus Memorial Park is located on 37 acres of gently rolling hills in South Anchorage near the Old Seward Highway and O'Malley Road. The Park is landscaped with living memorials and is open the year round. The Chugach Mountain Range is our view to the east with Flat Top directly in front of us. On clear days, the grandeur of Denali, Foraker and Hunter is visible from some of our gardens.

Angelus is Alaska's first cemetery to establish a perpetual care fund for the endowment of the Park and is a non-subsidized, non-profit corporation that is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees elected by the lot owners at their annual meeting.

Our cemetery is non-sectarian and families may choose a location in any of the gardens. Only flat bronze or flat granite markers are permitted in the cemetery.

Some of the statues featured in the park are hand-carved beautiful white marble from the marble quaries in Carara, Italy. The same marble chosen by the sculptor Michelangelo for his Pieta.
