Obituary

Daniel Noel Blackburn passed away in his home in Anchorage in early June 2024 from natural causes.

Daniel was born on Christmas Day at the old Anchorage Hospital. He was cheerfully educated in public

schools in Anchorage where he and his fellow students all learned to knit their own mittens. He worked

as a heavy equipment operator and State highway maintenance in often time harrowing conditions for

Alaskans. He was also at home in many rural areas where he worked.

Predeceasing him were his wife Donna Blackburn, parents Raymond and Margaret Blackburn, brother

Raymond S Blackburn. He is survived by his son Joseph Blackburn, brother Damon Blackburn, nephews

Mitchell, Sydney, Nicholas Blackburn, cousins and many decades of loved and treasured friends.

Burial at Angelus Cemetery.
